19th Century French Italian Rococo Giltwood & Marble Console. This beautiful 19th century Italian French Rococo carved giltwood console table features exquisitely carving with sweeping curves and a dramatic green marble top. It has been in my family since the early 1980's, where I had purchased it from the old Helms Bakery Antique Guild. The dealer stated that it was a 19th Century French console . The wood is in remarkable good shape for its age, as shown in the photos, but has some areas that have split slightly. There are no missing pieces. The gold gilt finish has developed an aged patina that needs a bit of replacing in the spots that are missing. I don't know if the marble is that old but it is in perfect condition and fits exactly.
