RARE- Ruby Red "TOP PRIZE " Depression Glass Punch Bowl - Hot Toddy set -14 piece set by NEW MARTINSVILLE -
This gorgeous set consist of the Punch Bowl -Hot toddy bowl and 10 cups. Secondly it comes with the Original metal ladle with Bakelite knob. In addition you have the rare chrome cup ring and slotted lid with Bakelite knob.
The "Top Prize" pattern by New Martinsville features a vertical fan design that starts at the base and ends at the rim. The depression glass hot toddy punch bowl has the same design . but looks like two bowls attached, one upright and one upside down to make the overall popular "Top Prize" design. This unusually elegant pattern came out in the 1930's.
14 Pieces Include: 10 cups that measure 2 3/8" High x 2 3/4" Wide rim to rim, Hot Toddy Punch bowl measures 8 3/8" High x 4 1/2" Wide rim to rim, Ladle measures 12" Long with Bakelite knob. Chrome cup holder ring and Chrome slotted lid with Bakelite knob.
I bought this Hot Toddy Set in the 1970's and have used it extensively for festive holiday parties. It is used at Christmas for hot Egg Nog and Valentines Day for punch. The stylish Art Deco design complements any hostess' décor and enhances the elegance of the table. The rarity of finding all the original 14 pieces in such good condition is incredible,. It is a rare the much sought after Ruby Red color is unbelievable! You may find some of the pieces but not all of the original set. Quite a fantastic find!
